2-Hour Cooking Lesson + Lunch

Welcome to Crete- a land where food is not a sustenance, but ritual. Today, you will not only cook and taste Cretan food, you will also travel back over 4000 years, to discover the roots of the Cretan diet in the Minoan civilization.
From ancient legumes mixed with honey and herbs to the traditional dishes served in every Cretan home, you will experience how little has changed and how much heart remains the same.
The Cretan diet, as it is known, is one of the healthiest diets in the whole world and has roots from the Minoan era. The basic ingredients are exactly the same. Oil, wine, honey, cereals, herbs, legumes and meat were and are the main characteristic elements of the Cretan and Minoan diet.
You will get to know the utensils that they used to cook (most of them are copies of archaeological finds).
All utensils are made from clay and suitable for a wood fire.
The location where you will have the experience of your Minoan meal is a very special energy location, constructed and appropriately decorated.
We welcome our guests with one small guided tour of our estate and information about everything you will see.
